Hi folks!

We're heading towards the business end of the season, and we wanted to get some feedback for what the Clan might be able to do for membership for next season.

This year we offered the lovely Clan Pin, which we all wore with (I hope) a certain amount of pride. We're trying to think of interesting or unusal ideas for membership gifts for 2015/2016. What would people be interested in? Another pin? A fridge magnet? A membership card? A Pro12 and European Cup? I think Pat is working away on the last one, but we'd love to get feedback on the rest.

Bear in mind that membership will be a similar price level to this year, so 'a bar of gold with the Clan logo' or 'Clan Caviar' are probably out of the question!

Didn't actually receive a Clan Pin this season, but they are nice little souvenirs of the season.
Maybe the season can be added to the design so that they can become collectors items.

They're decent as swappables as well when out on the road supporting the team in some foreign fields.

Things like hat's and scarves as well, or maybe a clan Terrible Towel which I think would look amazing on match day if both Clan and Main Stand packed.

In bulk they'd be fairly cheap to provide, for fans they are easy to bring to games as they can easily be stuffed in pockets or tied around the neck.

Thanks for asking and creating this thread. Good idea to seek input for next year.

1. Introduce a 'collect in the Clan Bar' process for the membership pin. Like seapoint, I didn't get one either.
2. Increase the swag in the Clan Shop and have a little shop in the Clan Bar before/after each game. Suggest adding gloves, a scarf and sell/give away a few pins to away team supporters who would like one. It's a nice touch.
3. A Voucher deal for Clan members for the Clan Bar - say 10 X €5 drink vouchers for €45

Thanks ! Keep up the good work.

Hmm, sorry about that lads, don't know what went wrong with the pins in the post. I'll look into that tomorrow and send PMs. If anyone else hasn't gotten their pins let me know.

Re: pickups in bar, we did those earlier in the year, and we'll definitely be doing it again next season.

New merch is something we're actively looking at (we'll have our new scarfs up soon). We've kept the pins exclusive to members for the moment!

It's not possible to sell stuff in the Clan Bar itself, but we should be able to arrange for pickups once or twice in the Clan Bar and/or in the Dail.

Clan patches would be nice so we can cover up the awful sponsor logos on our Connacht gear

I like the coffee mug idea too.
Love the pin from this year, it's really great.
On a bit of a sidenote, thanks to all who put so much work into the Clan on our behalf. I check in here about 100 times daily (only a slight exaggeration there), I'm usually not logged in and I don't contribute very much but it's great to feel a part of this wonderful community. Thanks again to all you hard working volunteers who make it possible.

not sure on the membership gift, but
+ one on the mug, maybe a travel mug as well?
Scarves would be a good idea two.

any chance of the hoodies coming back into stock, I'm lucky I've an older green BLK Connacht hoody, but I think a lot of people aren't fans of the color choice currently on hoodies.

I was hospital recently in Cork, and I loved winding up the one or two munster fans on the nursing staff, walking round with the Clan shirt and/or the green Hoody on.

So it wasn't just the Connacht gear that was scaring them then?

Another batch of hoodies would be great but agree that a darker shade of green would be nice this time. Zip-up would be even better.

We're actively looking at mugs (probably not as the gift item, between the cost and the cost of shipping we'd have to up the membership sub)

Patches are a great idea, and we're looking at pricing same out at the mo.

I've always liked the idea of pins, myself, so we're defo thinking down those lines.

Clan Polos/tshirts/fleeces/underpants are also in the planning stages (to include ladies and kids sizes, we hope!), but obviously we want to see what the story is with the jersey manufacturer first.

Also: A Connacht Clan scarf? Well, that's an amazing idea!! Keep yer eyes peeled for news today!
