We're delighted to announce a new item of Connacht Clan merchandise, the Connacht Clan Polo! Click on the Shop tab in the header!

It's a high quality BLK polo, in proper Connacht Green, adorned with the Clan crest and BLK logo on the front, and the Connacht Rugby logo on the sleeve. It's genuinely a high quality bit of kit, and we couldn't be happier with the way things turn out. You might have spotted them in the wild at Ciaran Fitzgeralds Hall of Fame induction, where some committee members were giving them a 'test drive'!

Prices for Clan members is €25.00 (€40.00 for non-members, so a membership and a polo saves you money!!) for collection only. Shipping options (including international shipping) will be offered shortly, still working some gremlins out. If you place your Order now, you can collect the polo at the Zebres event in the Dail tomorrow, before or after the Ospreys game and at the Clan AGM.

A quite note on sizing: they are sized a little bigger than you might expect so pay attention to the notes on the shop page.

Any questions, let us know.

Why would you (whoever designed the shirt) want the manufacturer's logo to be more prominent than the Clan logo - and bigger than the Connacht one? Who on earth thought that was good idea?

At least professional teams get paid to have sponsors names on their shirts - how much are we getting?

When you redesign them, how about Connacht badge on the front of the shirt and the manufacturer's name on the sleeve - instead of the other way around?

Of course, you could be very traditional and have the maker's name on the label inside the collar - like most normal shirts.

Think you are being a bit harsh here.

Maybe not your style, would be a better way of saying it?

Apologies - perhaps I could have been a little more diplomatic.

I like it, the BLK logo is a little large, but I don't mind that

I've ordered one. Ordered a beanie too, but hopefuly won't need to wear that for a while :cheer:

I'm working in deepest Munster so any Connacht merch is welcome!

We;ll have them at the AGM, if you have any plans to attend that. Otherwise we'll arrange to get it out to you if you're in the City or close by. We should have shipping options up fairly shortly, so bear that in mind if you're not from Galway and won't be able to make it to the match or AGM.

Also: we'll only be bringing polos for those that ordered them - we won't be able to take money for polos on the day (mainly cause it's impossible to lug around the stock with us).

Re: the size of the BLK logo, it's a standard size for BLK merch, it's the same as on Connacht BLK polos or 'generic' BLK polos. If it's not your cup of tea, no problems. The committee picked the design and manufacturer of the polos after a lot of back and forth, a lot of thought and a lot of effort. We're delighted with how they turned out,we've had predominantly positive feedback (the comment above was the only negative, in fact).

Don't for a second think that the Committee (we're all voluntary and I've put about 8 hours into Committee work this week alone) do things without reason or thought.

I am not castigating anyone's efforts or commitment. I've been on my local rugby club's committee for most of the last 25 years. I've ordered loads of kit in the past - and the manufacturer ALWAYS wants their marque on our kit - and their default offer will inevitably have their logo (rarely that big, to be fair) on it. I always ask "what's in it for us"? If they're paying you something for it - well done. If they're not paying anything - and you guys all think it's adds to the attractiveness of the kit - fair enough, as you say it's not my cup of tea.

We will have all the polos for those who ordered them with us tomorrow, beanies and badges too. If you're only ordering them this evening, no guarantees!!

We'll be in the Clan bar before the game, and for a good bit of time after the match. Don't forget we have Player of the Year post game, so there'll be entertainment too!
