I would have liked to see Hagan back too but I doubt he would have been keen on being behind White twice at two different provinces. Maybe he could have pushed ahead of White but it wasn't guaranteed, plus LI is a clean slate, as already said hopefully it will be good for him. I think he's a good player who can become much better and even after 3 years will still be young for a prop. Its a shame he left Connacht but I can't imagine he learnt nothing at Leinster.

Dam! Hope he's ok. It's going to be a long road back for him with an injury like that

Im Delighted and honoured to be able to play for Gloucester rugby for another two years, such a fantastic squad and such awesome support!
well done to him, they hardly hand out 2year contract to everyone. they must really see something in him

The second string team in general get a bit of a raw deal, especially when they are in important positions like Hagan, as its very hard to impress at TH when the rest of the pack around you would not be up to heineken rugby standard for instance.
A three year deal is a big show of faith imo, considering the type of players who have received 3 year deals here lately. There are 5 other props at LI assuming none of them are leaving (although some might be or else why would they have signed Hagan?), which would suggest he will still have quite a fight on his hands to get consistent first team rugby.
They're losing Alex Corbisiero this summer, so Hagan is a direct replacement. His only chance of fitting in at Leinster was if he was Top 6 schools or from SH, the same issue that brought him west (he felt her didn't fit in).
If they look after him at the Reading Not-Nots, they'll end up with a test class prop.
i thought corbisiero is a LH? at least thats where he plays for England when fit.
Covers both sides actually for Irish.
I remember him from back at schools level he was primarily tighthead, he was at the American School in Cobham (near me and not far from Chelsea's training ground) and up to England U-20's ...

He has a chronic knee problem so they may be moving him across to ease the load and prolong his career..

Troy Nathan was tweeting about kicking duties. Included a youtube link:
Don't remember him ever kicking for us but he got some distance on that one! Who is he playing for anyway?

Mogliano, there in the final of the italian league, that kick was from saturday in the semi final of the play off, won 18-8.
he has gotten a few man of the matches and also ran in 2 trys a few times too.
i remember him kicking one evening from half way into the wind, most of been nikora our out half, he didnt connect at all with the ball and wasnt anywhere close.
i think he used to kick for connamara rfc when he came to ireland

I can help you with a few of these:
Jamie Stephens with to the US, Joe Merrigan to Coventry then finished up in the AIL (now retired), Andy Dunne and Colm Rigney went the AIL player/coach role, think Rigney's no longer playing. Dave Slemen retired 2 years ago (was playing for Esher). And when Conor McLoughlin left that wasa premature retirement due to injury, obviously he wasn't released.

Fetu'u scoreed the two Tongian tries this morming... He just runs with the ball, though. I think Pat is right when he says we have enough speed (Carr, Poolman, Henshaw) and we need consistency (So'oialo rather than Fetu'u or Sinoti).
