Live European games on TV3 and Channel 4 for next season.
www.epcrugby.com/news/37386.php
Edit: Actually the TV3 deal was announced last week, dunno how I missed it since I watched about 10 hours of TV3 rugby coverage on Saturday. Anyway two live games on regular telly isn't bad. Hopefully they don't do anything sly like give them both the same time slot.
Edit2: I'm obviously a bit slow but I only just copped that they both have the final. Wasn't expecting that at all.
Still no official announcement on the Pro14 rights but hopefully a few of them will be released to FTA along with the assumed Eir Sport/Premier Sports offerings.

TG4 IS SET to retain its broadcasting rights for the Guinness Pro14 for the next three seasons.
The42 understands that the Irish broadcaster is close to agreeing a deal with Pro14 organisers and eir Sport, allowing TG4 to continue to provide a similar level of free-to-air coverage as is currently the case.

Premier Sports deal confirmed yesterday.
www.pro14rugby.org/2018/04/30/premier-sp...4-game-from-2018-19/
Showing every game is an ambitious target. I wonder will that mean they'll be more spread out over the weekend.
Based on that, we can pretty much assume that between TG4 and eir, they will have them all as well.
EDIT: Actually it confirms that in the Q&A. Also:
Television Match Officials at every game

Delighted. £10 a month and I get to watch every Connacht game.
Seems like a huge injection of cash too.

Eir would want to get their $#!+ together and sort out a few more ways of accessing their channels though. For those who get t'interweb off them it's happy days - they should have all the Pro14 and European games for no extra cost.

Eir deal confirmed:
www.pro14rugby.org/2018/05/03/eir-sport-pro14/
Some small print here. They are broadcasting every game. But they don't say they are broadcasting every game live. So not as wonderful as I originally thought ...

Thy say up to 6 games live per week ... if they broadcast the six it will be as good as all. So for example if we take they broad cast 6 games and the 7th is Connacht v Ospreys and its on TG4 I assume that eir wont be broadcasting it .
I got a quote there €30 to add to my sky package I dont know whether to go for it or hold for an offer.

Would you be better off switching your broadband to eir and getting them "free" as part of that?

I am with Sky and it is very reliable; Previously with virgin but prefer Sky TV ( Hate the Virgin Horizon box)
Eir are getting slated for service and customer care - per link above.
A "friend" of mine has an android box and it is super

Depends what area you live in and getting bband. No complaints from a few mates who have it. I'm moving soon and will be getting Eir. Have virgin now but want the sports free

As with BT, the sports channel seems to exist purely as an incentive to hawk broadband. If you're with another broadband provider (or even with some of eir's own packages), you don't even have the option to pay for it (as you do with Premier Sports in the UK or Sky via Now TV).
Maybe they'll finally agree terms with Virgin to add it as an option to their TV package now that they have a bigger portfolio of content.

At the end of the day it's the same infrastructure. I was with vodafone for broadband, and moved to eir. Simple process then to add the eir sport and BT sport channels to my sky tv. Pretty nice bonus for sports fans.

1 game a week for TG4:

And to celebrate, they've put something on the telly now to cheer us up

This is a really positive move for the league, and Im happy to switch internet provider to get the rugby games. It's about time that TMO's are at every game also!
