Mick Kearney bagged himself a try, but it was abandoned 12 minutes into the second half due to the serious lightning storm. 66-0 after 52 minutes is crazy.

Emerging Ireland hammered Russia 66-0 in the Nations Cup in Bucharest, with the game lasting just 45 minutes before it was called off due to thunder and lightning.
The adverse weather meant that referee Ian Davies called a halt to proceedings early as the conditions were deemed unplayable amid concerns for player safety at Stadionul National Arcul de Triumf.
As the storm persisted for 30 minutes in duration, under official tournament rules, the game was abandoned and the score at the time of the game being abandoned was adopted as the final result.
Russia may well have been glad to have the tie ended 35 minutes early as they had just had their hooker Stanislav Selskiy sin-binned prior the storm halting play.
Andrew Conway scored a hat-trick for Ireland, with Craig Gilroy scoring a brace and Ian Keatley, Niall Annett, Robin Copeland, Tommy O'Donnell and Paul Marshall all crossing for a try each.
Ian Keatley kicked five conversions, while JJ Hanrahan knocked over three.

KM back in the squad as Murray injured, hopefully he'll get some game time and impress.

Finishs 23-17 to Ireland. Argentina score in the last minute through a Marmion mistake unfortunately. Great result but wasn't a fantastic game.

Try for Mick Kearney again today. Let's hope he starts scoring a few in his other green jersey!

Not knocking his efforts, but 2 facile wins over inept opposition is nothing to write home about.
doubt if anything at all was learned on this tour.
Courage is knowing what lies on the other side and still opening the door.

From the match reports I've read MK didn't get a try in first match. Nice tries from Copeland and Gilroy admittedly against poor opposition.

Nice try by Mick Kearney against Uruguay. Good supporting line run by him. Can be watched here.

Shame he's having a blinder of a tournament. Wouldn't be surprised to see him getting picked for a Wolfhounds squad based on this form.

Simon Easterby and Dan McFarland both linked to the Ireland forwards job now that Plumtree is gone with Easterby the favourite to take it.
