AMLIN CUP

Surprised that there are still tickets for the final. I thought I was being smart getting in early. Obviously the Challenge Cup final isn't as big a draw as Connacht in the PRO12.

2 tickets booked for the final, behind the posts but 56.50 for 2 tickets to a European final, likely between Leinster and Toulouse with the additional Connacht HC qualification interest isn't that bad.

If Munster or Ulster don't make the H Cup final, there will likely be a few tickets floating aboutfor that as well, so not a bad weekend to be in Dublin.

big game starting at 8, i think an even match since Gloucester are at home vs biarritz.
its weird but nice having a game on thursday!
Shane Monahan on the bench, hope he comes on and make an impact.
he might not come on tho as Billy Twelvetrees is also on the bench and he'd be ahead of him

I wud imagine that all eyes will be on adams park tomorrow night. It probably represents connachts best chance of hec rugby next season. Afaik they have a home semi and final if they win this. Probably why the branch havent announced st prices yet. Nearly worthy of a clan gettogether tomorrow night somewhere.

Should there be a thread about the game or will we just comment in here? I'm not sure I'd be that confident about Leinster's chances, I feel like they just haven't clicked this season. A lot of their fans seem to think they're going to pick up the amlin or rabo this year as a consolation and be back to normal heineken final service next year, I could easily see them winning nothing this year.

billy 12trees was injured didnt make the bench.
awful first half 14-27
glaws the better team but messing this up big time, there scrum half cant pass.
they played 20 mins straight with 14men, 2 sin bins, then the ref pulled his hamstring to the joy of the crowd, dudley, dudley dudley now incharge of the whistle.
there was a bit of a spear tackle, worth yellow done by biarritz but got away with it.
to many mistakes by gloucester, cant see them coming back into it now.
if leinster win tomorrow, they shouldnt have any problem with biarritz if they cop on.
final note, half time kick competition, they were useless, 2 guys and a girl had 4 shots each and neither came close to hitting it over the bar from 22metres

31-41.
glaws score 2trys in last 2mins when la c*** (harinordoquy) got sin binned.
Shane Monahan got the first, he got little ball when he came on as biarritz were incontrol.
if leinster win tomorrow, this biarritz team wont scare them in dublin

I think tomorrow's game is the biggest obstacle Leinster have to surmount if they are to win this competition. They aren't going that well and I'd be a bit concerned. If they pull through tomorrow I'd fancy them against Biarritz.

The boys in Blue have taken the 1st step to getting us back into the HC. 48 - 28 win over Wasps.
Now for a home Semi against Biarritz who also won 41 - 31 against Gloucester

Perpignan v Stade Francais Paris
Saturday, 27 April at RDS, Dublin (K-O 2.30pm local time)
Leinster Rugby v Biarritz Olympique
i watched stade francais vs bath, bath werent great to be honest. stade did ok and got the scorers. wasnt too impressed with stringer, his passing was 100% but was slow getting to rucks.
leinster can beat this biarritz at home and ill keep judgement till i see the other semi final.
some great high scores this weekend, keepin with this years amlin cup
Gloucester vs Biarritz Olympique 31 vs 41 =====72
London Wasps vs Leinster 28 vs 48 ====76
USA Perpignan vs Stade Toulousain 30 vs 19 ===49
bath vs Stade Francais Paris 20 vs 36 ===56

2 mid-table French teams at home to win the Amlin for Leinster. I'd be confident of them succeeding from here.
