What do we think will happen to Conor Mckeown ? He’s currently 4th choice behind marmion blade and Mitchell
Given he’s 24 he’s prob best going over to the championship to try and get some 1st team game time
Stephen Kerins coming up behind him and is in the academy

As Deegan, it's a pity he's not considered big enough to play (back to) FH...

TBH we shouldn't talk that way this season because I highly, highly doubt there's anything more interesting in Connacht butchered games vs Zebre, Dragons, Treviso, etc... :(

Our NIQ recruitment has been so underwhelming recently.

When signing a NIQ I always ask who does he start ahead of, or who's place is he taking?

So he's a 12-13 that can play 10. So he's not a new starting 10 he's not replacing Bundee and I wouldn't start him over Tom Farrell as he is improving and becoming a future international (even if it's token caps)
As NIQs more often than not are more expensive than IQ players is someone who'll start in the 6 nations and possibly sub during the rest of the season a good investment?

Godwin has a cap with Australia. I know it was the same for Boshoff/S.A and it didn't work out, but there were reasons. I won't be unhappy he we sign him, the worst doesn't always happen

Say what you want but Godwin looks like a very decent player there at 12 (3 weeks ago, 1 tackle missed only, one try scored)

In fairness to say our overseas recruitment is poor of late is a bit harsh, Butler has obviously been a great addition, and Ahki has made a positive impact too, even Dawai has added to the squad when he's got a run of games, plus it's only this season that a few places opened up with Tom and Bundee becoming qualifed, so we didn't have a lot of scope to add guys.

Yeah maybe it is on reflection. Butler is good. Ahki has been grand he's done the job he was brought in to do. Dawai has been ok, I think it's a waste of NIQ slots to use one on a guy who's so far down the depth chart. Same goes for Ili, Deegan, and Fox. We've done ok I suppose but we need more quality if we're to progress.

With Akhi and Deegan pretty much gone, and no word on Ili or Dawai, our only NIQ for next season is currently Butler, so seems plenty of room for manoeuvre there ...

I take it Butler is a project so definitely lots of room for a few Niq or Nie players.

AJ Diehards would have been excited, if he had not re-signed in Sale

33 starts in 4 years at Munster due to injury and lack of form. Really hope we're not in for him.
