Topic-icon Munster v. Connacht - 28th November 2015

That actually does sound less disruptive than postponing the RCC games until the Six Nations.

It would mean our Munster match would then be played between Scarlets at home and Dragons away during the Six Nations, with the advantages that that would entail.

(It probably sounds crude even discussing this in light of what's going down)

That would be absolutely great news. The siberian travellers would be rested next week + Munster will be much weaker during 6 nations + Heenan, Roux and McCartney should be back to their best in February

It'd be very disappointing but in light of our shambolic return from Siberia maybe not the worst thing for the players.

They'll have to interfere with the Top 14 no matter what they do and probably best to have the disruption as early in the season as possible to give more time to iron it out.
But especially with the Stade v Munster game, surely delaying it by only a week risks a further postponement? Unless they are maybe thinking of also swapping the home and away legs, i.e. continue with the game in Thomond Park as planned on the 28th, just with Stade Francais as the opponents instead of Connacht.

Suggestion from Munsterfans:

Cancel Connacht v Munster and Leinster v Ulster to play Euro games.
Reschedule the 2 Inter pros as a double header in Aviva later in season, splitting tickets and money 4 ways.
Would be cracking day out! Easy!

Sounds like a great idea. There'd be three sets of supporters behind Connacht as well.

Connacht playing a European QF (and SF?) might put a spanner in the works though.

Indo: Irish provinces remain in the dark over European re-fixtures in France

Indications are that the re-fixed games will not be played this month as had been hoped and, with the schedule tighter than ever due to the impact of the World Cup, there are limited windows in which the games can be played.

It's a conspiracy against Connacht!

Our St Stephen's day fixture against Ulster should be safe enough anyway.

Just wondering where the bus group have tickets for?

Might go with the daughter(6). Will be getting a few seats though, she just about survived this eve! Her second game on the trot so want to keep her momentum going!

Not much choice online but back of middle main stand I'm thinking. Never been to Thomand I must confess!

What's impressive this season is that, even with our 3 locks injured (Roux, Browne and Marshall), we are still able to send a pairing of equivalent quality to Thomond Park (Dillane/Muldowney). Close to the bone (just SOB 2.0 and Naoupu as backups), but for now, there's no drop-off in the level of the starters, game after game.

with Fox out, we have several choices for openside flanker

1) McKeon, favourite for most of you, but disappointing as 7 last season, not quick enough
2) Masterson, my own choice, started his career here on a green jersey 2 years ago against Scarlets, would fit in well in a back-row with experienced Naoupu (or McKeon)/Muldoon pairing at 8/6
3) James Connolly, not that young, 23 in April, played 7 in Siberia, why not
4) Rush Heenan back, after all he was expected to be back in October... But we all know what happened when the staff did this last season
5) Heffernan, clear outsider, but covered here yesterday, and is an ex-backrow
6) Rory Moloney, rookie at professional level, but international U20
